1st Symposium on bee effect models

Online

The symposium aims to reach anyone who would like to learn about bee colony or population models developed for the context of pesticide risk assessments. Four models (or model suites) will be presented, including BeePop+, BEEHAVEecotox and BumbleBEEHAVE, SolBeePopecotox and ApisRAM / ALMaSS model of O. bicornis. The symposium will provide a comprehensible overview of each model and a discussion.

Learn what the aims of bee effect modelling are, how a colony of honey bees or a population of non-Apis bees can be captured in a model, and what the models can address in the context of pesticide exposures and effects. Thereby, gain an overview of four models developed for the risk assessment context in a single, concise symposium. We invite all experts interested in the topics from authorities, industry, consultancy, contract research organizations, universities, bee institutes, NGOs and beyond from Europe and other regions.

No modelling expertise required. The symposium is free of charge.
