New WildPosh videos showcase insect sampling techniques
Two new videos have been released on the WildPosh YouTube channel, featuring innovative research from project partners.
In the first video, researchers Philippe Bulet, PhD (CNRS) and Roman Salmon and Nathan Silva (BioPark Archamps) demonstrate the sampling of haemolymph - commonly referred to as insect blood - from selected species. The video outlines a new, non-invasive workflow designed to collect this fluid efficiently and without harm. The haemolymph samples will contribute to a deeper understanding of the proteins they contain.
The second video highlights the sampling of the fat body from honeybees. The same research team presents the step-by-step workflow used to isolate this specific tissue, which plays a key role in insect metabolism and immunity. The aim is to analyse its protein content for future applications in the WildPosh project.
Both videos are now available on the WildPosh YouTube channel and offer valuable insights into the experimental protocols developed by our scientific partners.
