WildPosh research on pesticide risks to hoverflies presented at PRIMAT30
Researchers from the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Sciences presented WildPosh results at PRIMAT30, an interdisciplinary natural sciences conference with international participation held in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 11–12 September 2026.
The presentation covered the acute toxicity of two pesticides, the insecticide cypermethrin and the fungicide tebuconazole, in the hoverfly Eristalinus aeneus. The team shared their key findings and experimental approach with researchers from a range of fields. This will support future research and make it easier to compare results across studies.
Hoverflies are important pollinators but receive far less attention than bees. Sharing these findings helped raise awareness of the risks pesticides pose to non-bee pollinators and increased the visibility of WildPosh research.
